Sustaining Sanity in Iraq: Packing for home; Headin’ for Paris (so to speak): couldn’t help but consider the emotional parallel between riding the Tour de France and spending a year in Iraq. First, you have to welcome the pain (or, as we’d say in the Army: “embrace the suck”) [What an excellent phrase! I embraced the suck this morning, when I went for ride through the soup we’re calling air in the northeast this week. Yuck.]
